2022 Photo of the Day

  I love this picture of Cicely, but I'm ready to turn the page from January.  It's been especially cold, especially dark, not enough snow, and too much COVID

 It's also a good thing to be making on a frigid winter day

 

 

 

 

 

  The bookshelves are getting a long overdue dusting and organizing. 

 

 

 

 

 

  Even the covered screened porch got snow!

  This video is from Saturday, when the morning temperature was negative 15.

  With a renewed commitment to learning Lightroom for photo processing and management, I started with practice on this cardinal photograph.  He cleaned up pretty well!

  Between a bad knee and bad weather, I've been spending more time in my 'studio' making things.  Here's a couple of finished projects from the week: 1.  Napkins for Maurine from linen of her old bed sheet: And a hand sewn grocery bag with hand woven handles:

  Don asked that I take a picture of his shop 'before'. He's been spending lots of time and putting lots of thought into designing . cleaning out and organizing his shop.  The big, semi-circular round structure is a work of many hours/days and is intended to contain and capture dust from his saw.  Dust management is top of the list, especially because it has major health implications.

  Scott took this photo while out on a mapping job in East Fairfield. Temperatures were in the low teens for a high.

 

 

  It's had to go in for multiple repairs. Hopefully the foot will heal before the cone is beyond fixing.
